Day 1: Bologna
Arrival airport transfer to your hotel. Welcome drink. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Bologna - Dozza
Buffet breakfast. Morning half day visit to the city of Bologna: the historical centre has been beautifully maintained: the historical towers from the 12th and 13th century, the oldest university in Europe, San Petronio cathedral, the Neptun fountain. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon visit to the medieval village of Dozza, one of the 100 most beautiful village of Italy, situated on a crest of a gentle hill dominating the Sellustra river valley. Stop in a local wine cellar for tasting of the famous Lambrusco wine. Dinner and Overnight in your hotel.

Day 3: Parma - Modena
Buffet breakfast. Morning departure to Parma. Visit to Parma, the famous city in Italian gastronomy. Parma is also famous to host one of Italy’s most important opera venues, the Regio Theatre. Some of the monuments you can admire during the tour are: the magnificent Romanesque Cathedral and Baptisterium. Continue with visit to the Ham Museum in Langhirano and tasting of local products and light lunch. Next stop is in Modena, the city worldwide known for its vinegar. Stop in a typical vinegar cellar (Acetaia) where you can taste the famous “Aceto Balsamico di Modena”. Return to Bologna, back to your hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: San Marino and San Leo
Buffet breakfast. Departure to San Marino. Half day guided tour of the City-State, exploring the old town, the Three Towers, the House of Montefeltro, the neo-Gothic style Palazzo Pubblico, home of the primary institutional and administrative organs and venue for official ceremonies, the Casa Piccola del Comune. Lunch on your own and some free time. In the afternoon visit of San Leo, a sharp pinnacle surrounded by overhanging cliffs in a countryside sloping from the Appennines to the sea, with houses clustered between a magnificent fortress and a prominent bell tower. Transfer to Urbino area. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Urbino - Acqualagna - Cupramontana
Buffet breakfast. Welcome to the Marche region! First thing on the program is a walking tour of the small hill town of Urbino, a town that experienced a great cultural flowering in the 15th century, attracting artists and scholars from all over Italy and beyond and influencing cultural developments elsewhere in Europe. Free time and then continue to the town of Acqualagna, famous for its truffles. Each year towards the end of October/ beginning of November the National Truffle Trade-show takes place here. Lunch at a local restaurant where you will have the chance to taste delicious dishes preared with local truffles. In the afternoon continue to Cupramontana, the capital of the famous white wine Verdicchio. Visit of a local wine producer fallowed by tasting. Continue to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Urbino - Cortona - Chianti
Breakfast.Continue to Cortona spectacularly sited hilltop town and set of the famous movie “Under the Tuscan Sun” as well as birth place of famous artists as Luca Signorelli and Pietro da Cortona. Your tour leader will take you on a stroll through the historical center where you will see the house where Pietro da Cortona was born, the church of San Francesco, the piazza della Repubblica, just to name a few. Lunch on your own. Free time to discover this charming little town. In the afternoon continue to Siena and visit the enchanting medieval historical center. Major sights include Piazza del Campo site of the famous horse race Palio and St. Dominic’s Basilica. Following the tour, wine tasting at a local winery. Continue to your hotel in the Chianti area. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Florence
Buffet breakfast. Morning departure to Florence, the cradle of the Italian Renaissance and the center of the world’s finest art and architecture. Guided tour where you can admire the magnificent Santa Maria Novella, celebrated for its magnificent dome designed by Brunelleschi, and view the Baptistery’s renowned “Gates of Paradise” by Ghiberti. Afterward Accademia of Fine Arts, where Michelangelo’s David is housed. Continue to the open-air museum at Signoria Square ending at the splendid Ponte Vecchio. Lunch on your own and free time. Continue to Castiglionchio Farm, an old fortified settlement, dating back to the 12th century, located in the small valley of the river “Mill riots”, about 9 miles from Florence. Wine and Oil tasting. Back to your hotel in the Chianti. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Departure
Breakfast and transfer to the Florence airport.
